On July 29, 2023, Lapu-Lapu City College participated in a prestigious event to promote “Dagan kontra droga” campaign for drug awareness. This fits with the idea of keeping young people away from illegal drugs, which could severely harm their physical health. The BIDA activity is more than just a simple running competition; it is a nationwide effort to promote the use of legal drugs that involves Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), and other significant facets of society.

The campaign’s main goals are to increase drug rehabilitation and decrease drug demand. In any case, a partner in today’s BIDA Run trip is the City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention in Lapu-Lapu, which serves as the City’s focal office for the BIDA program.
