LLCC College of Technology Culminates Community Extension Services Program with Barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City on Basic Electronics Repair and Computer Literacy Training.

With the theme: “TRAIN AND ENHANCE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS THROUGH TECHNOLOGY FOR COMMUNITY ADVANCEMENT”

On September 1, 2023, LLCC College of Technology held the culmination of its Community Extension Services Program with Barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City. The program, which ran from July 8 to August 26, 2023, trained 23 solo parents and their children on basic electronics repair and computer literacy.

The participants learned how to use a soldering iron, troubleshoot electronic devices, and use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. They also received certificates of completion at the culmination ceremony.

The program was a success thanks to the hard work of the LLCC College of Technology faculty and staff, namely, Dr. Maria Noeleen M. Borbajo, LLCC College Administrator, Dr. Robert B. Pabillaran, DEAN, College of Technology, Engr. Fidelia Comar, LLCC-HRMO, Dr. Quennie Marie S. Edicto, COM EX Coordinator and the COM EX Assistant Corrdinator, Mrs. Emelie Viilaceran and of course to our active student organizations from the College of Technology, League of Computer Wizards (LCW) and Society of Electronic Technologist (SELECT) as well as the support of Barangay Babag, Hon. Arsenio Berdin, Babag Barangay Captain, and Hon. Alejandra Monteclar, Babag Barangay Councilor and the participating families.

We are proud to have played a role in empowering these solo parents and their children with the skills they need to thrive in today’s digital economy.
