Student for Community Extension Services
Brief Description
The Lapu-Lapu City College Community Extension started with a vision to address the needs of its community. Since 2017, students have been actively involved in various projects such as coastal clean-ups, gift giving, and workshops to make positive changes. Despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters, they have adapted to meet the demands of the community, even revising their constitution and by-laws to better serve their purpose. Now known as Students for Community Extension Services (SCES), the organization remains committed to its vision of making a positive impact on the community. Through activities like donation drives and educational programs, they strive to empower and uplift those in need, fulfilling their mission of service to the best of their ability.
Vision
The Lapu-Lapu City College Students for Community Extension Services is the center and the source of local opportunity to those compassionate and responsible LLCCians to create change and committed to bring up life of the less fortunate individuals and families of Lapu-Lapu City especially the marginalized ones, by working them cooperatively and harmoniously.
Mission
To provide avenues to the Lapu-Lapu City College community to be proactive in addressing socio-political-environmental issues geared toward helping people by empowering themselves through sustainable programs both local and national through the community service unit programs and services.

It seeks to embrace and celebrate the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual and protect them by accepting their differences and be part of the group. - Advocacy
Lapu-Lapu City College supports local and national concerns in the form of social forums and promotion of personal responsibility in nation-building. It seeks to address matters in the unit of society and provide solution by helping the community to the best of the ability. - Responsiveness
Lapu-Lapu City College delivers extension services that appropriately reactive to the needs of the potential stakeholders and implemented within expected timeframe for sustainable development. - Empowerment
Lapu-Lapu City College aims to work efficiently in solving problems with utmost skills geared towards the improvement of the life of its constituents. Being independent as well as responsible in times of hurdles and helping them to mold their character for a better development.
Objectives
The Students for Community Extension Services was made for different purposes which include the following:
- To serve the community, promote environmental improvement and develop institutional changes.
- To facilitate implementation of programs and services that are geared towards empowering communities.
- To provide services to students needs and extend help in the neighboring community through research-initiated activities as learning opportunities to develop leadership skills, values and developed full potential as a leader to support the community at its best.
